*Kitchen Cleaning Recipes:
All Purpose Cleaner1/2 cup vinegar

1 cup borax
1 cup baking soda -OR- 1 cup washing soda 2 small packets unsweetened lemonade mix 1/2 cup kosher salt Mix together and store in either a glass jar with a lid, or a repurposed 32oz. plastic container. Use 1 T in the pre-wash compartment per load and 1 T in the main wash compartment. 1/2 cup baking soda 1 gallon of boiling water Put the baking soda in the drain. Pour 1/2 of the vinegar in the hole, forcing the fizz down, then pour the other half of vinegar down. Wait 15 minutes, then pour the boiling water down the drain. Repeat the steps if necessary. Dishwashing Soap1 1/2 cups of boiling water
1 T (shredded) low-suds soap (ivory, castile, or homemade soap) 1 T washing soda 1 T vinegar 1/8 t tea tree oil a few drops of other essential oil (optional) In a bowl add the shredded soap, washing soda, and vinegar. Pour boiling water over the mixture and stir/whisk it until everything is well blended and has dissolved. Let mixture cool 8 hours, stirring occasionally. After it cools, add the tea tree oil and any other essential oils. Just fill the rinse compartment with it. Drain CleanerPour 1 cup of salt and 1 cup of baking soda down the drain.
Follow with a kettle of boiling water. Do not use the drain for several hours. If you need a stronger product, use 2 T of washing soda dissolved in 1 quart of hot water. Pour it slowly down the drain. Flush with hot water after 10 minutes. ONCE-A-MONTH DRAIN CLEANER: pour a handful of baking soda into the drain and add 1/2 cup of white vinegar. A small volcano will erupt. Cover the drain for several minutes, then flush with cold water after 30 minutes. Nonabrasive Scouring Powder
