*Crackers
~ Just Click The Pictures ~
Usually,
crackers are yeast based and take rising time, but I just decided to use self raising flour because I was in a hurry. Came out fine. :) I'm not using much oil these days, so the recipe is simple. They are crunchy, yummy, and on the dry side. You can experiment with different flavours, herbs, and add oil, if you like! 4 cups of self raising flour 1 teaspoon salt nice portion of cayenne pepper (1 TBS?) Poppy seeds (2 or 3 TBS?) I didn't measure these things! a handful of organic sunflower seeds add water and knead until it's a nice dough Roll out thin, prick with a fork, then cut into whatever shapes you like. I decided just rectangles were easier. Bake at 250 C for 15 minutes in the middle rack on a silicone sheet or parchment. Check at 10 minutes, make sure they don't burn. Each oven is different. Let 'em cool, then make some Hummus!! |
